At Cross Connection we place a large emphasis on equipping believers in Jesus. In Ephesians 4:11-12 we are told, “And Jesus Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” One of the main roles of church leadership is to equip Christians to go and do the work of ministry.

 

The second part of our vision at Cross Connection is to equip the saved. A large part of what we do as a church is designed to equip and train each believer to grow in their relationship with Jesus and to discover the gifts He has given them and the way/s He desires them to use those gifts for His glory. One of the best things God has given to help equip us is the Bible. We strongly hold to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Since the Bible is wholly and perfectly inspired by God and is profitable for us in every way, in our church we put a huge emphasis on teaching, training and equipping people through the study and application of God’s Word. In our services we teach chapter by chapter and verse by verse from Genesis to Revelation.
